CSW Hosts Visitors from Shanghai

CSW was pleased to welcome 12 students and 3 teachers from The Second Foreign Language School in Shanghai.
A group of students and teachers from The Second Foreign Language School — affiliated with Shanghai Normal University — visited CSW from December 3 through December 7. Twelve visiting students from Shanghai were paired with current CSW students to spend the week shadowing them, attending classes, eating lunch in the dining hall, and sitting in on sports practices, advisories, rehearsals, and club meetings.

During the visit, the school also hosted drop-in sessions for CSW faculty and staff and the three teachers and administrators from Shanghai to get together and engage in an exchange of ideas related to education and pedagogy.

It was a delight for all of us at CSW to give our visitors an inside look at what American progressive education looks like. We thank all of our visitors for joining us, and hope to stay in touch!
