IS Gallery

The IS Gallery, or Installation Space, located in the Garthwaite Center for Science and Art, was conceived with the idea that art and other intellectual pursuits cannot always fit on a sheet of paper, hang alone on the wall, be static and finite or fit in a backpack.

The IS Gallery is designed as a place where visual and other creative ideas can be more fully fleshed out and shared. IS is a proposal-based space open to CSW students, faculty, parents, outside artists and alumni. As versatile space, it can be used as an independent study space or as exhibition space. The use of the gallery is by application-only. Proposals are reviewed by the IS Gallery Committee, which is comprised of faculty and students. A typical length of time for IS projects is two weeks, but longer periods of time are considered.

IS Gallery Committee

The committee is comprised of visual art teacher Anne Rearick and student volunteers.

The committee meets approximately once a Mod to discuss applications and schedule IS Gallery space use.

Members of the community who are interested in serving on the IS Gallery Committee should contact Anne or a current committee member.

To Apply for an IS time slot and submit a proposal, please email filled forms to Anne Rearick at arearick@csw.org
