Girls' Varsity Wins Consolation Game Against BTA in Charger Classic

In the consolation game of the Charger Classic, CSW faced off against Boston Trinity Academy. CSW started fast and went out to 9-0 lead led by Lila Blaustein ’19 (16 points) who was able to hit jumpers and layups and distribute the basketball to teammates for open shots. Grace Campbell ’19 played a strong game defensively as she was matched up with BTA's top player and limited her to only 3 first-half points leading CSW to a 22-point half-time lead. CSW started strong in the second half when Alaina Hauber ’20 connected on a 3 pointer and two steals for a quick 7 points leading the way with 22 points. Defensively Sara Cooper ’20 was strong on the wing defending and denying BTA players and also hit a 3 pointer to extend the lead. Hany Jasmine ’21 and Kelly Fuller ’19 scored their first Varsity baskets and provided solid defense during the second half of play. CSW Went on to 44 - 29 victory to improve their overall record to 1-2.
