CSW Boys Swept Brimmer & May

Brian Tran
It was a beautiful sunny day for an away match at Mt. Ida UMass campus in Newton to face Brimmer and May players.

#1 Singles. Captain and Junior Jared finished up the duel overcoming a stubborn opponent. Jared did stay in control of the match despite the net was unusually high that he had to make necessary adjustments to keep the ball in. He won 8-1.

GLOBAL SCORE: 1-0

Singles #2, Junior and co-captain Pharrell won his match against a technically less experienced player. Pharrell showed patience to win important points in each game and showed occasional flares of brilliant shots. He won 8-1.

GLOBAL SCORE: 2-0

Singles #3. Brimmer Forfeited. Brimmer was short one player so they had to forfeit a singles match.

GLOBAL SCORE: 3-0

Doubles #1 Freshmen Ryan and Louis played their usual flamboyant tennis and outmatched their opponents with serves and superior court coverage. The won 8-0.

GLOBAL SCORE: 4-0

Doubles #2 Junior Tristan and Senior Harvey played against less experienced team whose skill level did not match the CSW boys. They won 8-1.

GLOBAL SCORE: 5-0

Brimmer had many new players compared to last year, only 2 returned. The rest are fairly new to tennis. The boys kept their composure and played their best to win their respective matches. Congratulations!
