The CSW Tennis Team is on a roll!

The CSW Varsity Tennis Team, coached by Robin Plimpton-Magee '00, is putting together a terrific season. On April 25th, the team won its second consecutive match against a solid team from Boston Trinity Academy. The score was 3 games to 2. The young doubles pairing of freshman Sam Hoenig and sophomore Greg Wright led a strong comeback against BTA. The team rallied from 5-2 to win the match 7-5. Junior Sam Gord had an excellent match and two doubles pairings led by sophomore Gio Bautista and junior Victoria Zhang won as well.

The next day the team enjoyed another victory against Maimonides, declaring an official winning streak (three wins in a row!).  Sam Gord won a second match. Doubles partners Gus Perkins and Sam Hoenig easily won their match, as did Greg Wright and Alex Kim, which altogether gave CSW a 3-2 victory. 

CSW played their best Tennis of the season in their game against Beaver Country Day’s JV team on May 2nd. The final standing was 5-0. Senior captain Isaiah Krieger led the way in this dominating team victory. Both Sam Gord and Gus Perkins won fantastic matches, winning 8-1 and 8-3 respectively. Both doubles teams had outstanding victories as well, winning 8-2 and 8-0. CSW has some tough league matches coming up, but the team is rounding into form with a 5-2 record. 

They look to continue their success with a home match against Newman School today, May 11th, at 4:00 pm.
