Returning from a long winter layoff, the Boys' Varsity Basketball team were finally back in action on Friday, hosting the Comets from the Waldorf High School of Mass Bay. It was an impressive start for CSW, as the Gryphons jumped out to an early lead of 27-8 due to hot shooting by Nica Franklin ’14 and leading scorer Graeme Mills ’16. Great defense was displayed throughout the entirety of the game, led by Chris Green ’16. The defensive prowess of CSW helped keep the lead to over 20 points for most of the game. Everyone contributed throughout the night, including key performances from off the bench by Austin Thies ‘16 and Ian Vogt ’14.  It was a solid 51-27 victory and means CSW remains undefeated within their division. The Boys' Varsity team now prepares for another tough opponent on Monday when they visit the Commonwealth School in Boston.
