Workshop — Restorative Justice: Keeping Kids in Class, Not the System

Join us on April 23 for a virtual parent/guardian workshop, Restorative Justice: Keeping Kids in Class, Not the System. Following the student and faculty exploration of the School-to-Prison Pipeline at Social Justice Day on April 16, this workshop gives parents and guardians the opportunity to engage with Eliaquin “Quin” Gonell, M.Ed., Manager of Restorative Justice at Lawrence High School. Quin will lead a discussion on how restorative practices can help foster safer, more inclusive school environments, keep students engaged in learning, and provide alternatives to the punitive systems that disproportionately affect marginalized youth.

This is a chance for parents to deepen their understanding of the issues and solutions their students will be exploring during Social Justice Day.
