CSW Serves as Lead School For Students of Color Conference

CSW was honored to serve as the lead school for the 2025 AISNE High School Students of Color Conference held at Regis College on Saturday, April 5. Organized in collaboration with the Association of Independent Schools in New England (AISNE), the event brought together students from across the region under the student-selected theme, “Adventures in Authenticity."

Designed as a day of reflection, empowerment, and connection, the conference featured a range of workshops and affinity group sessions. Students explored identity, leadership, and belonging through engaging activities and discussions. Sample workshop titles included:

  • “Code-Switching and Self: Finding Your Voice in Different Spaces”

  • “The Power of Cultural Storytelling”

  • “Rest as Resistance: Radical Self-Care for Students of Color”

  • “Artivism: Using Art for Social Change”
The day began with a welcome ceremony and keynote address from author, educator, and strategist Jason Craige Harris. After morning workshops, students came together in affinity group spaces, where they connected with peers of shared identities. After lunch, additional sessions allowed for deeper exploration of topics related to race, identity, and advocacy. Following afternoon workshops, the event concluded with a powerful closing ceremony with spectacular student performances.

Many thanks to all involved in bringing this important and impactful event to fruition.
