"Thanks to the breadth and depth of the Mod System, I was able to explore an exciting range of science and math classes in my junior and senior years. In particular, my Molecular Biology class reaffirmed and fueled my love of science and my desire to pursue a career in medicine."

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER TO BE THE GREATEST STRENGTH OF CSW'S ACADEMIC PROGRAM?

I love the Mod System because it allows me to mold my schedule to fit my interests. I've been able to choose lots of science and math classes, just the way I like it!

OF ALL THE CLASSES YOU'VE TAKEN HERE, WHICH HAVE BEEN YOUR FAVORITES?

Molecular Biology
This course reaffirmed and fueled my love of science and desire to pursue a career in medicine

Totalitarianism: Past and Present
Ryan has so much passion for this course and it is infectious; as a student you are completely enveloped.

Chemistry
I loved being able to delve into the science so fully, with two blocks a day for two mods.

WHAT HAVE BEEN SOME OF YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS AT CSW?
  • My senior capstone project on hydrogel synthesis in collaboration with MIT's Griffith Bioengineering Lab.

  • My dorm's annual tree-trimming party in our dorm parents' apartment, with their small children.

  • All Boarders Weekend—an annual CSW tradtition!
HOW HAS YOUR TIME AT CSW SHAPED YOU AS A PERSON?

CSW has really opened my eyes. I became more independent as a boarding student, more outspoken in my daily life, and more confident as a student.

Favorite Spot on Campus: I have two favorite spots on campus. One of them is the hammock that is outside of my dorm; its so relaxing to be outside when its warm. The other is the Garthwaite. I love the architecture and the natural light the building gets, and science is one of my favorite subjects, so it's fitting.

Favorite Dining Hall Menu Item:I love the peanut sauce and green curry sauce from the noodle bar!

Favorite D Block: Lacrosse has been my favorite D Block. I have played since 9th grade and have evolved so much as a player. The team is an amazing group of girls and the time that we spend together is always so rewarding.
