This has been my favorite dance class. During the COVID pandemic, it became an outlet for me. It was a place to relax and release.
British Romanticism and New England Transcendentalism
This course helped me explore poetry on a deeper level. I ended the class with a whole new perspective on the art.
Guitar Skills
I’d stopped playing the guitar but decided to take it up again at CSW. I was scared to pick it up again, but my teacher gave me so much courage and support. It became one of my favorite classes.

- During my Food, Justice, Power class my freshman year, I asked why there was a need for gender-neutral restrooms. Having come from China, I had no knowledge of issues of gender and sexuality beyond the binary representations. My teacher patiently explained things to me, and my peers were supportive in helping me learn, rather than ostracizing me for not understanding right away.
- When all the dancers were invited to stay in the Mugar Theater after school to watch the Dance Concert together on Zoom. It was really special to be able to watch the show together and clap and cheer for one another.
HOW HAS YOUR TIME AT CSW SHAPED YOU AS A PERSON?
CSW has taught me so many things that I don't think I ever would have had the chance to learn in China. It's taught me to be open and to be humble.

Favorite Spot on Campus: The quad.
Favorite Dining Hall Menu Item: New York Steak.
Favorite D Block: Dance Concert, because that is where I get to be my most genuine and creative self. I can express things and do things without having to doubt or worry, because I know the whole dance community supports me.
